Abstract

This research aims to describe the strategies used by the Language Department in implementing the Sister Reform Program to improve speaking skills (speech skills) among female students in the intensive program for the third and fifth semesters at Al-Amin Brandon University. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The research results showed that the applied strategies include identifying language errors, looking up the correct terms, providing terms in an organized manner, as well as a creative approach through memorization and review activities in the form of song composition. This program succeeded in improving the students' speaking skills, despite challenges such as difficulties in finding synonyms for colloquial or popular terms used by the students. Supporting factors include active administrative participation, integration with other activities, and support from reference sources. At the same time, the main obstacle is the difficulty of translating terms that have no equivalent in the Arabic language. This research concludes that the Sister Reform Program is an effective strategic step in improving language and developing speech skills, according to Santriwati.
