Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman adaptasi pekerja Generasi Z asal Indonesia yang bekerja di Korea Selatan, khususnya dalam menghadapi budaya disiplin kerja yang berbeda secara signifikan. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam terhadap satu informan yang telah bekerja selama satu setengah tahun di sektor kuliner Korea Selatan, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tantangan adaptasi, strategi penyesuaian diri, serta dampak budaya kerja Korea terhadap etos dan profesionalisme informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pekerja Gen Z Indonesia mengalami culture shock yang nyata dalam aspek hierarki, ketepatan waktu, dan gaya komunikasi langsung khas Korea. Proses adaptasi berhasil dilakukan melalui strategi observasi aktif, pembelajaran bahasa, dan dukungan sesama pekerja Indonesia. Budaya kerja Korea terbukti memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan disiplin, efisiensi, dan akuntabilitas kerja informan. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pekerja Indonesia yang berencana bekerja di luar negeri maupun bagi perusahaan dalam merancang program orientasi lintas budaya yang lebih efektif.
