Effectiveness of using digital media based on canva application in primary school learning: A Systematic Literature Review

Abstract

Canva is an online graphic design platform that allows users to create various types of content such as learning videos, interactive quizzes, presentations, visuals and social media. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of using Canva-based digital media in primary school learning. The method used is systematic literature review, using google scholar database. The literature review went through 3 stages of searching, the first stage used the keyword "digital media" and was limited to 2020-2024 (the last 5 years) resulting in 28,300 documents. The second stage by adding the keyword "canva" produced 2,310 documents.  And the third stage was added again with the keyword "in elementary school" resulting in 580 documents. Then these documents are filtered based on the inclusion criteria and get the results of 10 articles, from these 10 articles will be further analyzed by researchers. The results showed that the use of Canva-based digital media in elementary school learning has a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes, motivation and students' critical and creative thinking skills.
